Sandwich High School Seniors Will Get In-Person Prom, Graduation

This year has been anything but typical for students, but seniors at Sandwich High School have pretty standard end-of-the-year events to look forward to, including an in-person prom and graduation ceremony on the football field.
Classes end for Sandwich seniors on Friday, May 21. That will be followed by final exams during the week of May 24.
The week will be capped on May 29 with an in-person prom, which will be held at Heritage Museums & Gardens. Tickets for the event are currently on sale through the end of this week.
Prom events are held to Massachusetts COVID-19 guidelines, which dictate that outdoor events are limited to 150 attendees and the ability to maintain six feet of distance. Dance floors are permissible, according to the guidelines, though masks have to be worn at all times while dancing. ....

Princess X95 review: Widebody design ushers in a brave new world review

For a yard more used to evolution than revolution the new Princess X95 is a radical departure from the norm but how does it stack up as a boat?
Things have been a little different at Princess lately. A brisk wind of change has been blowing through the hallowed halls of Britain’s most quietly conservative boatbuilder since the arrival of executive chairman Anthony Sheriff, late of McLaren Cars, and chief marketing officer Kiran Haslam, who used to work for Bentley.
These gentlemen didn’t join the firm to take it easy, but to shake things up. The world is changing, the market is changing, and as old values and habits are held up to scrutiny, new approaches and ideas are ushered in. The Princess Yachts brand, they felt, was in danger of being left behind. The very image of yachting was moribund, incapable of attracting new blood, while boatbuilders squabbled over a dwindling customer base. ....

Lowell's Boat Shop launches Mayflower Shallop II

Lowell s Boat Shop launches Mayflower Shallop II
Carol Feingold/Correspondent
Head down to Point Shore this month to see a piece of history.
Last week, Lowell’s Boat Shop in Amesbury launched the Mayflower Shallop II, an historical reproduction of the small rowing and sailing vessel the Pilgrims would have used to “discover” Plymouth Harbor in 1621.
The shallop will stay at the end of the LBS dock on the Merrimack River for about three weeks before traveling to Plymouth to join Mayflower II.
“The boat will remain here to finish the final work,” said Graham McKay, LBS executive director and master boat builder. “We launched it to take advantage of the astronomically high tides and I would expect to leave around the third week in May. It remains to be seen if we’re going to sail it down or it will go by truck. It’s a matter of insurance. Insurance companies are getting nervous about boats.” ....

BUKHARA INDIAN BISTRO
Bukhara Indian Bistro in Jamaica Plain was already dealing with an uncomfortable transition. In 2019, the beloved restaurant moved from its home of about 20 years on Centre Street to Washington Street in Forest Hills. Some longtime regulars assumed the place went out of business, or didn’t seek it out in its new spot. Out of sight, out of mind. I was one of those regulars. Then COVID hit, and in lockdown, with no cooking skills, I needed takeout. Food that would soothe my anxious soul. Bukhara was the first restaurant that crossed my mind, and I’ve been getting my favorite chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and aloo mutter at least twice a month since April 2020. Jasw ....
