Finance Terms could Facilitate Reach of Proton Therapy

Next-generation proton therapy systems developer Advanced Oncotherapy has announced a partnership agreement with asset financing partner DiaMedCare AG that will enable easier access to the Company’s LIGHT system by reducing the need for large initial upfront payments from customers. The partnership agreement will cover projects in Europe and the United States, in line with the Company’s aim to democratise proton beam therapy by deploying LIGHT systems in smaller clinics and urban environments compared with other systems on the market that require large installation sites and significant shielding.
Under the terms of the partnership agreement, DiaMedCare will acquire LIGHT systems and lease them back to the Company’s customers that are commissioning the LIGHT system for oncology treatments. In addition, DiaMedCare will also be able to bridge manufacturing costs until delivery of the LIGHT system to prospective buyers. ....

PERUSAHAAN Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (Proton) sold 109,716 units last year, an increase of 8.8% over its landmark performance in 2019 with 100,821 units sold.
The national car manufacturer said market share for the year also rose to an estimated 21.1%, equating to a significant 4.4% increase.

New Year cheer for auto sector


Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) president Datuk Aishah Ahmad said the exemption would greatly benefit the auto sector, considering the economic uncertainties created by the Covid-19 pandemic.
PETALING JAYA: The vehicle sales tax exemption, which is supposed to end tomorrow, has been extended until June 30,2021.
Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) president Datuk Aishah Ahmad said the exemption would greatly benefit the auto sector, considering the economic uncertainties created by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We’re very pleased that the government has chosen to extend the sales tax exemption. It will benefit not just the automotive industry, but also the public and financial institutions, ” she told StarBiz. ....
