The newly appointed VC is the third vice chancellor of the University. He emerged as a winner out of thirty five professors who applied for the position. He takes over from Professor Fatima Batul mukhtar whose tenure will expire on fifth February, 2021. Before his appointment, he is Deputy vice chancellor academic services, Federal University, Dutse.
