Ekiti to have regular power supply soon – Fayemi

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi on Tuesday assured the people of the state of adequate and uninterrupted power supply before the end of his administration.
Fayemi, who lamented the poor power supply to the State by Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC), said his administration has concluded plans with the Federal Government to build two 132/133 kva substations in Ekiti to boost electricity generation and transmission in the state.
He added that plans are also being concluded on a new Independent Power Project (IPP) initiative aimed at repositioning the sector for effective service delivery. ....

We are unhappy with BEDC's power supply to Ekiti ― Fayemi

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has lamented the poor power supply to the State by Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) saying the epileptic supply has greatly affected socio-economic development in the state.
He, however, assured the people of the state that his administration has put all machinery in place to ensure adequate and uninterrupted power supply to the state before the end of his administration next year.
Fayemi noted that plans had been concluded with the Federal Government to build two 132/133 kva substations in Ekiti to boost electricity generation and transmission in the state

I saw the late Professor Jide Aluko who was Head of the International Relations Department, University of Ife, until Mr Femi Falana got him sentenced to death of eternal shame in 1987 over the misappropriation of some grant to the department.
Interestingly, it was the Professor who approached the court pesided over by Justice Adeniran for libel. He had sued Dr M.A. Ojo, a colleague for shredding his character. Unfortunately for him, Dr Ojo engaged Mr Falana, who was then with the Aka Bashorun chambers.
When the case started, lawyers to Aluko came with the biggest law books in town but Falana had a small bag. ....
