而今，《职业教育法（修订草案）》郑重声明，「职业教育与普通教育是两种不同教育类型，具有同等重要地位」。且为落实类型教育的定位，《职业教育法（修订草案）》
以「职业高等学校」替代原来「高等职业学校」的概念，对应于普通高等学校，包括专科、本科层次。这意味着职业高等教育未来将与普通高等教育「平起平坐」， 和普通高校一样可以培养自己的本科生甚至研究生。 
此外，今年 5 月公布的《民办教育促进法实施条例》也明显增加了多条关于职业教育的利好政策，如「实施职业教育的公办学校可以吸引企业的资本、技术、管理等要素，举办或者参与举办实施职业教育的营利性民办学校」，「国家鼓励企业以独资、合资、合作等方式依法举办或者参与举办实施职业教育的民办学校」，对实施国家认可的教育考试、职业� ....
