NBFC-MFIs gross loan portfolio may grow 10-15 pc in FY22: Report

"The GLP for NBFC-MFIs in FY22, is expected to return to the growth path and register around 10-15 per cent growth due to a pick-up in disbursements owing to the expected recovery in economic activity, kickstarting of expansion plans that were halted due to the pandemic and increased need for credit among low-income segments," the rating agency said.

Jamshedpur: The over two-lakh traders of the Kolhan division welcomed the announcement of the Union government to include wholesale and retail traders in the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) category. Many traders associations have said the move of Prime Minister Narendra Modi s government would help the Covid-ravaged traders restore their business by availing necessary finances from banks and other financial institutions under the Priority Sector Lending (PSL) category, enjoyed by only MSMEs, so far. Suresh Sonthalia, the national secretary of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), said, The announcement has come at an appropriate time. It would help eight crore wholesale and retail traders, including over two lakh traders of Kolhan who are hit by the Covid pandemic, revive their businesses by availing necessary finances from banks.
