Punjab makes record of development budget use in 10 years

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday appreciated the objectives of the Punjab Development Programme and directed continuous monitoring of these projects, saying officers of all districts and related agencies will be responsible for timely completion of projects.
The prime minister directed that not only modern scientific methods should be used for monitoring the completion of projects, but also a system of continuous monitoring through third parties should be devised to keep them informed in this regard.
He also emphasised that special attention should be paid to the district development package to ensure the provision of facilities to the people, and that playgrounds should be built for the youth in each district to provide them with opportunities for healthy activities. ....

GWADAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday said he was considering speaking to the insurgents in Balochistan, as the situation in the province had changed and Pakistan was moving towards a better future.
The premier, addressing an event in Gwadar, said the insurgents might be upset with the state due to some past grievances or India might have used them to spread terror in Pakistan. “But now, the situation has changed,” he said.
Imran inaugurated Gwadar Free Zone, Expo Center, Agriculture Industrial Park, and three factories. He also witnessed the signing of various MoUs aimed at constructing a state-of-the-art hospital, airport, and vocational institute. ....

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Monday said Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the government team to make another contact with the opposition parties on the proposed electoral reforms.
In a tweet, the minister said Attorney General for Pakistan Khalid Javed Khan will brief the prime minister about main features of electoral reforms after holding a meeting with the legal team of the opposition parties and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). He said the attorney general will present a report containing the opposition’s suggestions on electoral reforms to the prime minister. ....
