Picture SUPPLIED A1 Safety and Packaging NZ Ltd and Sai Prema Foundation Fiji teamed up and donated$60,000 worth of hand sanitisers and alcohol hand wipes for COVID-19 Vaccination Drives across Fiji. Sai Prema Foundation’s Dr Krupali Tappoo said it was extremely important to successfully administer vaccines across the nation and they hoped to support the vaccination teams. “Vaccination is the answer and the way forward for the entire world to overcome this pandemic,” he said. “It is extremely important that Fiji achieves herd immunity by vaccinating as much of the population as possible.

Sai Prema Foundation will be assisting 500 families living in Nadi, Lautoka, Ba and Rakiraki with grocery packs who have been impacted by COVID-19. Foundation Director Sumeet Tappoo says the pressure felt by families due to the current restricted movement situation has motivated the Foundation to do more. He says they are deeply saddened by the plight faced by families particularly in the Western Division where employment is heavily reliant upon the tourism industry.

Picture: Supplied THE Sai Prema Foundation (SPF) completed a successful week-long awareness campaign highlighting the impact of congenital heart disease (CHD) and the important role of early diagnosis and treatment in the form of surgical intervention. Speaking on the commemoration of the Congenital Heart Disease Awareness Week at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital Fiji last Thursday, medical director Dr Krupali Tappoo said their foundation’s aim was to work towards improving care for congenital heart disease patients with the new hospital.
