CDO placed under MECQ

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, June 1 (PIA) - Cagayan de Oro City is now placed under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) from June 1-15, 2021, following a televised National Inter-Agency Task Force s (NIATF) Talk to the People by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
With the surge of of COVID-19 cases here and the resolution of the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force (RIATF) for the review of the quarantine classification of the entire region, the NIATF elevated the quarantine classification of Cagayan de Oro City from Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) to MECQ.
During the same telecast, President Duterte also reminded all the barangay chairpersons in the country of their responsibilities to implement the minimum public health standards in their respective areas of jurisdictions and be held liable for any lapses in the implementation.

Eleazar hopes new SAF chief to boost anti-crime, terror ops
PHILIPPINE NATIONAL Police (PNP) chief, Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, on Wednesday expressed hope that newly-installed Special Action Force (SAF) director, Brig. Gen. Felipe Natividad, will continue to wage a relentless battle against terrorism, insurgency, and other threats.
“I am confident that under your leadership, the SAF will maintain its earned reputation of being the most dependable and highly specialized force that aims to ensure peace and order across the country,” Eleazar said in his speech during the turnover of command ceremony at the SAF headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.
