In 2020, Olney residents Donna Conder and Rodney Conder opened R & D BBQ located in the portable shed at 412 W. Main Street. They hope to increase the business’s visibility, retain existing customers, and attract new customers in 2021.
Rodney and Donna were once married, but now they are each married to the business only.
“I used to run a barbecue business with my buddy, but we parted ways, and I decided to partner with my ex-wife,” Rodney said.
The business partnership appears to be working well, considering the flawless barbecue they produce three days a week. Either Donna or Rodney will rise in the early morning hours to smoke the meat on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The hours are 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, and they open again Tuesday and Thursday nights 5-7 p.m. ....
