A Filipino teacher has been named as among this year’s recipients of the Princess Maha Chakri Award, a biennial international award seeking to recognize outstanding teachers from 10-nation Southeast Asian bloc and Timor Leste, who have made significant impact to students’ lives.

The Department of Education (DepEd) announced Sunday, June 13, the feat of Marcelo T. Otinguey, who currently works as Head Teacher V of the Governor Bado Dangwa Agro-Industrial School in Benguet.
“Pagbati (Congratulations), Sir Marcelo T. Otinguey! SDO (Schools Division Office) Benguet, Cordillera Administrative Region, 2021 Princess Maha Chakri Awardee,” the DepEd said in its Facebook post on Sunday. ....
