STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. The city Department of Transportation (DOT) will conduct daytime milling in Rossville, Eltingville, Woodrow, Annadale, Princes Bay and Huguenot next week.
Notices to move parked cars from streets that are scheduled to be paved or milled are posted in advance. If a car is not moved, the city will tow it around the corner or to the next closest block without construction. If there is a change in the schedule or if notices can’t be posted ahead of time, the contractor will verbally inform residents of the need to move their cars. ....

The agency will also conduct nighttime wear-and-tear repairs throughout Staten Island.
The work may cause temporary detours and closures of roadways surrounding targeted sites.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Over the years, Princes Bay resident Drew Denmark, 12, who suffers from Phelan Mcdermid Syndrome, has received support from a myriad of Staten Islanders and local businesses in the quest to raise money for research about the rare disease.
And now he has the support of the South Shore Rotary Club. ....
