A woman by the name of Simphiwe Manzini, who has been accused of fabricating a story that she had been kidnapped will be appearing at the Pretoria Magistrate Court. This comes after she had sent multiple disciplinary search party s set up by the Gauteng police on a chase goose on Wednesday night.
She had claimed to have been hijacked and kidnapped by unknown men who were driving her to an unknown location. A team of detectives and members of the crime intelligence team quickly established discrepancies in the woman s story. ....

In what could be the harshest sentence ever in a pangolin poaching case, the Pretoria Magistrate s Court has slapped Orateng Mekwe with 10 years behind bars without the option of a fine. He and co-accused, Jealous Rungano, a Zimbabwean national sentenced to three years in prison, were this week found guilty and sentenced of contravening the National Environmental Management Biodiversity Act. Pretoria - Six suspects, aged between 31 and 45, were scheduled to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on charges of armed robbery, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition on Monday.
The six are allegedly linked to an armed robbery at security services company Fidelity in Pretoria last year, Gauteng province spokesperson for the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (the Hawks) Captain Ndivhuwo Mulamu said.
Mulamu said a multidisciplinary operationby the Hawks’ serious organised crime investigation unit in Johannesburg, the national cash in transit task team, crime intelligence and other units had resulted in the successful apprehension of the six men in Hammanskraal, Lotus Gardens, and Phillip Nel in Pretoria last Friday. ....
