Nauset – In January 2021, it had been reported by numerous media outlets
that it had received two extended high school project extensions from MSBA (partially pandemic related). Nauset had hoped to receive a 3rd extension in January 2021, but seemed nervous about taking that step. MSBA s Jack McCarthy was quoted as saying that the district never asked for a third extension and he guessed they made an assumption (presumably that it would have been denied).
Lowell – District records show that in 2018, MSBA allowed it to resubmit a new Preferred Schematic Report with a change to a downtown site and an addition/renovation for its new high school. Less than six months later, a new PSR was approved by MSBA.

The Northeast Metro Tech project team has continued to work its way through the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) design process and is expected to soon finish the Feasibility Study phase. The following provided by the Dale Street School Project Committee.
UPDATE on Dale Street School Project
The Dale Street School Project s Preferred Schematic Report (PSR) was presented at the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) Facilities Assessment Subcommittee (FAS) Meeting and was favorably received on January 20, 2021.
In addition, the FAS was very complimentary to the Education Plan developed by the Medfield Public Schools. Representatives of the Town also saw the possible model schools that the MSBA has determined may work given our particular needs. The next step is for the Town to decide whether to proceed in the model school process which involves interviewing possible candidates.

Transit officials will study an extension of Silver Line service to a handful of greater Boston communities, including Somerville. The Silver Line Extension Alternatives Analysis, announced Monday by MassDOT and the MBTA, will assess the feasibility, utility and cost of different alignments and service frequencies in Somerville, Everett, Cambridge, Chelsea and Boston. In Somerville, we pride ourselves in aligning transportation policy with housing and economic development policy, Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone said in a statement. Our advocacy for one-seat mass transit service connecting Logan Airport with Kendall Square via East Somerville is rooted in a firm commitment to addressing current and historic inequities in our City and in our region.
