Mehta had embarked on this mammoth journey on April 8, 2019 in Mumbai s Juhu area. MUMBAI: It was in Lima where Praveen Mehta met the gutsy Gustavo Goretti, the investigative journalist who was once kidnapped and faced elimination for taking on former Peruvian president Alberto Fujimori’s corrupt government and its nexus with drug traffickers. “Why do you do what you do, I mean put your life in danger,” asked Mehta. “I do it because someone has to do it and I can do it,” replied the celebrated journalist.
