Shillong: Officials said on Sunday that a case was registered and investigation was launched after several fake Twitter accounts of Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik were discovered. He said that the matter was taken up with the Director General of Police, Raj Bhavan on Friday. Raj Bhavan’s secretary Praveen Bakshi submitted a list of fake Twitter accounts created in Malik’s name. “Bakshi posted derogatory and objectionable material which is prejudicial to the high office of the Governor of Meghalaya and which does not in any way reflect his views,” Mr. Bakshi said. ....
