The post office is a mess Pocono Record On Jan. 4, Lehigh Pocono Hospital sent me a prescription that I needed. It was postmarked Jan. 6. I did not receive it until Jan. 20. I called the hospital, and they assured me that it was mailed but after 10 days I drove over to the doctor s office and got a copy. Fourteen days for a letter to go from the 18301 to the 18302 zip code! I also had my electric bill delivered on Jan. 4 and the bill was due Jan. 5. I now pay all bills online, and if I have a package to be mailed, I go to Packaging Plus in East Stroudsburg. I went to the post office today to ask why it takes 14 days to get mail. I was told it must go down to Lehigh Valley before it can be delivered here. I asked the person at the post office if these delays are due to Postmaster General Louis De Joy, who was appointed by President Trump to run the Post Office. They said yes, but things are getting better. I hope so. ....
