A BJP delegation filed a complaint at the Election Commission office over Trinamool Congress MLA Hamidul Rahman s threatening remarks to voters.

Kolkata: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) delegation reached the Election Commission office in New Delhi on Thursday to lodge a complaint against Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Hamidul Rehman over his remark at a public meeting made on March 2.
Rahman had said, “Our ancestors have said - jiska namak khate hain, uska namakharami nahi karte hain. After polls, we will have to meet those who would cheat us. Khela Hobe (the game will be played) with dishonest people.” ....

Bengal polls 2021: BJP alleges party worker s mother thrashed by TMC supporters 
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has claimed that a party worker and his aged mother were thrashed by Trinamool Congress supporters in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. The BJP worker has been identified as Gopal Majumdar. He was attacked by TMC workers on on Saturday in North Dumdum in the Nimta police station area. 
Gopal s mother claimed that she and her son were beaten up by TMC supporters and that they threatened her son not to disclose the incident to anyone.
The party also posted a photo of the woman s swollen face on social media, saying, People of Bengal will not forgive those who assaulted Bengal s daughter . ....

Amit Shah kicks-off Bengal visit with special aarti at Bharat Sevashram Sangha in Kolkata
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Amit Shah on Thursday kicked-off his two-day tour of West Bengal by visiting the Bharat Sevashram Sangha in Kolkata. He performed a special aarti here and met religious leaders. The Bharat Sevashram Sangha was founded in 1917 by Acharya Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj. The Sangha has hundreds of ashrams in India and other countries. It is known for community work, helping poor and providing healthcare to those in need. 
Speaking to reporters later, Shah said that he has full faith that the BJP will form the goverment in West Bengal after the upcoming assembly polls and when it does, the Gangasagar Mela will be made part of the international tourist circuit. The Namami Gange programme for cleaning River Ganga will also be ensured in the state, he said. ....
