Gavin Newsom recall organizer calls allies leeches over huge donations

An Orange County consulting firm and a wealthy Bay Area couple donated a combined $600,000 to efforts to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom, but recall organizers say they won t receive a dime of that money.
The California Patriot Coalition is the main group behind the recall effort that manages the RecallGavin2020.com website where official recall petitions can be printed out and mailed in. The group that received the contributions, however, is Rescue California, a high-profile political action committee that is merely assisting the main recall efforts, not leading it.
