Man Arrested For Defaming Girl By Sharing Audio Clip On Social Media
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a person for defaming a girl by making a audio clip viral on social media in south Kashmir’s Awantipora.
A police spokesman in a statement said that acting tough against the crime against women, Police in Awantipora have arrested a person involved in making an audio clip and later viral the said audio clip on social media to defame/insult modesty of a girl.
“Today one girl (name withheld) lodged a written complaint at Police Station Tral alleging therein that one accused person namely Rajinder Singh resident of Gudpora, Tral has recorded her conversation with him and made it viral on social media – thereby intimidated her and insulted her modesty,” said the spokesman.
The terror operative was killed in a joint operation by the Army, Awantipora Police and CRPF at police component complex at Tral in South Kashmir`s Pulwama district.
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir police have issued a detailed statement on the killing of a youth who allegedly snatched the rifle during interrogation. Police term him as “terror operative”.
The statement said Mohammad Amin Malik son of Abdul Ahad Malik resident of Nagbal Machhma, Tral was killed in an overnight operation during the intervening night of June 2 and 3, launched jointly by Awantipora Police, 42RR and 180Bn CRPF at Police Component complex Tral.
Malik, according to the statement was arrested on May 30, 2021, along with incriminating materials including arms, ammunition and explosives including unlicensed 12 bore gun, live rounds, explosives, iron/steel balls, 9 feature phones and other warlike stores used in the fabrication of IEDs. A case FIR No. 48/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Tral. He was in police remand on June 2, when he was brought from Police Station Tral to the Police Component, Tral for further interrogation.
