Huntington police remain concerned over missing infant By HUNTINGTON, W.Va. Huntington police remain concerned about a missing infant whose location is unknown. The police department on Tuesday announced the whereabouts of three-month-old Angel Nichole Overstreet have not been confirmed since around May 8. She was previously with her father, Shannon Overstreet, who was taken into custody this week on two battery warrants unrelated to the child. “We are very concerned for the safety and well-being of the child,” Huntington Police Chief Ray Cornwell said. “We are unable to determine her location, whereabouts or well-being, and that’s what we’re focused on right now.” ....
HUNTINGTON â Police are still investigating after two bodies were discovered in a Guyandotte home Monday evening. Huntington Police Chief Ray Cornwell said officers were called to a residence in the 700 block of 5th Avenue in Guyandotte around 6:45 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, the responding officers found the bodies of two people who had died from apparent gunshot wounds. Patrol officers, detectives and forensics investigators soon followed to begin processing the scene and interviewing witnesses. The investigation is ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident, and detectives are working to positively identify the victims so families can be notified. âNo names are being released at this time pending positive identifications and family notifications,â Cornwell said Tuesday. âThis aside, the investigation is ongoing, and we have nothing further to add at this time.â ....
HUNTINGTON â Two Huntington women were arrested on Thursday as a result of three narcotics search warrants executed in the West End. Huntington Police Chief Ray Cornwell said members of the Huntington Violent Crime Drug Force, the Huntington Police Departmentâs Criminal Investigative Bureau and SWAT team, along with agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives executed the warrants. The warrants led to the seizure of 133 grams of suspected heroin, 135 grams of crystal methamphetamine, more than $22,000 in cash and three firearms. One raid in the 700 block of West 3rd Street led to the arrest of Pamela McCoy, 51, of Huntington, who Cornwell said was in possession of 14.7 grams of suspected crystal meth and 8 grams of suspected heroin. She was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy. ....
