Roger Viveiros Taunton Police Department A 55-year-old man who allegedly robbed two banks in Taunton and Raynham in the past month was arrested Saturday as he was about to attempt a third robbery, authorities allege. Roger A. Viveiros was taken into custody outside Santander Bank, at 188 Broadway in Taunton, according to a joint press release from Taunton and Raynham police. Around 10 a.m. Saturday, Taunton authorities received a call from a resident who reported he recognized a blue 2003 Toyota Camry that had parked outside his house as the one used by the suspect in the robbery of the bank on Nov. 27, officials said. The resident also recognized the driver and said he was the same man later identified as Viveiros, of Taunton who robbed the bank last month and wearing the same clothes.

The incident occurred at the Seasons Corner Market in Raynham, Massachusetts, when the Raynham Police Department received a call at approximately 6:07 p.m. to reports that the establishment was being robbed by a female suspect. Authorities were told that an adult female, who brandished a hypodermic needle she claimed to be infected with AIDS, demanded money before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash. However, a witness was able to record the suspect s license plate before she made her escape and a notice was subsequently issued to surrounding communities to be on the lookout for the suspect and vehicle, according to a statement by the Raynham Police Department.
