The Stuttgart City Council voted Tuesday night to allow homeowners 30 additional days for repairs to their properties before demolition. The Stuttgart City Council last night gave homeowners 30 more days to bring their properties into compliance with state law regarding habitable property in order to escape demolition. Willie Hayden, owner of 906 E. Cleveland St., and his sister, Joann Collins, owner of 900 E. Cleveland St., addressed the council during Tuesday night’s regularly scheduled meeting. Both properties were condemned and were being prepared for demolition when they asked for more time to make the needed repairs. The council tabled the requests during the April 6 meeting. ....
Stuttgart Police Chief Mark Duke announced the Police Officer of the Year at the conclusion of 2020. In a letter announcing the award, Duke said Officer James “Jim” Gignac is a shining example of what a police officer should be. “(Jim) has stood out and shined this year,” Duke explained. “(He) shows a lot of heart and compassion with a desire to bridge the gap between the department and citizens.” Duke said when Gignac expressed a desire to become a police officer during a hunting trip, he explained being a police officer is more than just stopping cars and writing tickets. ....

The FBI s Little Rock field office said in a statement: We are following up on the video and taking all investigative steps, but we cannot say anything further at this time.” As per news reports, a TikTok video recently surfaced featuring a young woman who supposedly resembles Cassie. This video has left its viewers speculating that she may still be alive. As per KATV, Tina Storz, a private investigator who has been searching for her for years, said that the young woman in the TikTok video strongly resembled Cassie. She, however, could not confirm it was her. ....
