2 people arrested after dispute at Carlisle Limousin sale

A man and a woman were arrested after a dispute broke out at a Limousin cattle sale at Borderway Mart in Carlisle in the UK.
Police in Cumbria were called out to the dispute which occurred at around 8:50 last Thursday evening (May 6).
A Cumbria Police spokesperson said: “A 61-year-old male, from Sheffield, sustained a slight injury to his head.
“A 53-year-old male from Shropshire was arrested for assault and later cautioned for the offence.
“Also, a 57-year-old female from Shropshire was arrested for public order offence and also cautioned.”
Carlisle trade tops out at 50,000gns
Despite the incident, the mart sale held the following day in Carlisle saw a great trade with prices topping out at 50,000gns. ....

Police in Cumbria have arrested a man and woman after a fight broke out at a Limousin cattle sale at Borderway Mart.
Police were called to the dispute at the livestock mart in Carlisle on Thursday 6 May at 8.50pm.
A 61-year-old man sustained a slight injury to his head during the incident, according to Cumbria Police.
The force s spokesperson said: “A 61-year-old male, from Sheffield, sustained a slight injury to his head.

Police in Cumbria are warning of the dangers of buying prescription drugs online – with many deaths linked to the issue.
Cumbria police are teaming up with professionals who help people steer clear of substance misuse to warn of the dangers.
Constabulary officers and staff from Unity, the alcohol and drug recovery service, are issuing the advice following a number of deaths suspected to be linked to this issue in recent years.

A Cumbrian teenager is reported to have been hospitalised after suffering an adverse reaction to sweets containing cannabis oil.
Police in Cumbria have been alerted to a number of incidents across the county involving young people taking sweets believed to include CBD oil, a chemical substance found in cannabis.
Officers have been made aware of a teenager from Cumbria who has been hospitalised having suffered adverse reactions after consuming the gummies.
North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) has joined Cumbria police in raising awareness and sharing the warnings for young people.
Dr Mike Schofield consultant in emergency medicine and paediatric emergency medicine at NCIC said: “These reports are concerning. Recreational cannabis use in children and young people is increasing both locally and nationally, especially in ‘gummie’/vape form. ....

Police in Cumbria issued 39 fixed penalty notices for coronavirus offences during the Easter weekend.
During the four-day bank holiday weekend, officers worked with partner agencies across the county to tackle a range of issues including meeting indoors and large groups meeting outdoors.
