JRMC Polar Pig Virtual Auction Successful

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (JRMC) – The Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.s) understands the impact a quality hospice program has on a community.
Jamestown Regional Medical Center’s Hospice program has made such an impact on the members of their group. That’s why they host the Polar Pig “Walk the Plank” fundraiser each year.
“This year we are grateful for the group’s agility to rework the event to a virtual auction and “Ice Bucket Ride”‘ said Lisa Jackson, JRMC Foundation Director.
The event was a success, raising more than $21,500.
“With your gifts, JRMC Hospice provides medical, emotional and spiritual care. They help prepare patients and family for the stages of end-of-life in a compassionate and meaningful way,” said Jackson. ....

Thousands Raised in Polar Pig Ice Bucket Challenge

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The annual Polar Pig event was a success according to event organizers.
Adjusted for COVID-19, the annual event instead has participants sit on a motorcycle while ice water was poured over them. The challenge had individuals timed for how long they could hold themselves under the freezing water. Those who participated represented different organizations and collected money for the event, which raises money for the Jamestown Regional Medical Center Hospice and Cancer Center.
Event Co-founder Don Wegner says the event was changed for COVID-19 to an ice bucket challenge, but continues to raise money for their causes. ....
