Palaniswami lauded the patriotic qualities of the eminent personalities
Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Tuesday unveiled the portraits of freedom fighter V.O. Chidambaram Pillai and former Chief Ministers P. Subbarayan and Omandur P. Ramaswamy Reddiar in the Assembly hall.
Mr. Palaniswami lauded the patriotic qualities and leadership displayed by the leaders.
Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, Assembly Speaker P. Dhanapal and Assembly Deputy Speaker Pollachi V. Jayaraman also hailed the personalities.
The Chief Minister also honoured Chidambaram Waleswaran, grandson of Pillai, and Selvi Muruganandham, great-granddaughter of the late leader. ....

An Indian artist is attracting the attention in town for his sheer ability and versatility in painting portraits.
Faisal Kuppayi, a Doha-based Indian creative artist can be seen in his studio in B-Ring Road painting portraits of people- that too in minutes. He has painted the portraits of hundreds of nationals and expatriates since the last two years of his stint in Doha.
Kuppayi s passion for fine arts originated at a very young age, in his hometown of Nilambur in Malappuram district of south India. He began his artistic journey as a hobby and later realised the potential of portraits, photography and adopted it as his profession. ....

Bhagwant Singh, 75, started focusing on his art a few years ago, and now wood burning remains a very personal and creative pastime.
Singh, who has his Masters in Economics and worked as a chief manager at a bank in India for 30 years of his life, says he s always been artistic.
In my school days, I would draw pictures on a chalkboard all around the house, he told blogTO.
Having moved to Etobicoke from India with his wife in 2013, Singh only started really getting back into art after his wife passed away from cancer in 2015. ....
