This project will include replacement of the underground utilities and reconstruction of the roadway and sidewalks in the Fleet Street area. Preliminary engineering work on the underground utility design has begun. UNH students aid Portsmouth stormwater project

PORTSMOUTH The Portsmouth Department of Public Works has started work with a team of four University of New Hampshire students from the Civil and Environmental Engineering UNH Capstone Program to assess a new tool to measure compliance with EPA permitting requirements.
The four UNH seniors, all environmental engineering majors are Brandon Belmonte, Joe DeGregorio, Jessica Nekowitsch and Andrew Godfrey.
UNH requires all graduating seniors in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department participate in a Capstone design experience. This year-long course gives students a field work opportunity to apply their engineering, communication and management skills to a real-world team project.
