THIS 78-YEAR-OLD WEARING A SNOOPY MASK. THIS IS AN AIR FORCE VETERAN AND WITH THE FIRST TO GET THE SHOT. HE SAYS HE FEELS GREAT PURE THIS HOME SUFFERED ONE OF THE WORST OUTBREAKS IN THE COUNTRY. THE VIRUS BLAME FOR THE DEATHS OF 76 VETERANS IN THE SPRING. Mass. To Vaccinate Residents Of Holyoke, Chelsea Soldiers' Homes

Residents of two Massachusetts veterans care centers that were hit hard by the pandemic are getting vaccinated against the coronavirus starting Tuesday, state officials say.
Air Force veteran Robert Aucoin, 78, is scheduled to be the first resident of the Holyoke Soldiers Home vaccinated, according to the state Executive Office of Health and Human Services.
Aucoin, who has lived at the state-run home since 2018, served from 1961 to 1965 and during his service worked as the control tower operator at Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina.
World War II veteran Dominic Pitella is scheduled to be the first resident of the Chelsea Soldiers Home to be vaccinated, state officials said. ....

HOLYOKE A 78-year-old U.S. Air Force veteran will be the first resident to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home, the site of one of the nation’s deadliest coronavirus outbreaks in a long-term care facility.
U.S. Air Force Airman 2nd Class Robert Aucoin, who was a control tower operator in the Vietnam era at Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina, got the first of his two shots Tuesday morning as vaccinations began at the state’s nursing homes for veterans in Holyoke and Chelsea. ....

Fort Bragg, alone, has brought some notable names to the Fayetteville area. 
In March 1941, Franklin D. Roosevelt visited Fayetteville on the eve of the country s entry into World War II. Harry S. Truman also visited eight years later in October. President Kennedy reviewed the 82nd Airborne Division in October 1961 and endorsed the green beret as the headgear for the Special Forces, according to a 2018 Fayetteville Observer article.
