Let's develop unrefined tourist sites- Bono Minister appeals to indigenes

The Bono Regional Minister, Mrs Justina Owusu-Banahene, has appealed to chiefs and people in the region to help her build on the achievements of her predecessors.
According to her, there were several untapped tourism attractions in the region which should be developed to generate revenue for the development of the various districts and municipalities.
Pledge
Mrs Owusu-Banahene, who was speaking during her maiden interaction with the media in Sunyani last Wednesday, also pledged to collaborate with the media to enhance the general development of the region.
She mentioned the Menji Crocodile Pond and the Hani Archaeological Site in the Tain District, the Duasiden Monkey Sanctuary in the Dormaa Central Municipality and Nchiraa Waterfall in the Wenchi Municipality as some of the untapped tourist attractions in the region. ....

Madam Justina Owusu-Banahene, the Bono Regional Minister, has called on the Regional Peace Council to step up efforts at devising realistic strategies to address protracted chieftaincy disputes in the region.
We must work together to identify and tackle the remote causes of the long-standing chieftaincy disputes that threatened the peace of the region, she said.
Such disputes, she said, retarded progress and called for effective collaboration between the Regional Security Council, Peace Council and the Regional House of Chiefs to iron out all misunderstandings.

More Women Prefer CS - Senior Midwife

More women, who give birth at the Bono Regional Hospital in Sunyani, prefer Caesarean Section (CS) to normal deliveries, Mrs Susan Tiwaa, the Midwife in-charge of Maternity at the Regional hospital, has said.
She said the women were of the view that CS was the safest and easiest way to be delivered of their babies.
She said out of the nine babies born on December 31, 2020 at the facility, six of them were done through CS.
The babies comprise five girls and four boys with their body weights ranging between 1.9 and 3.5 kilograms.
However, Mrs Tiwaa told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the five babies born at the facility on January 1, 2020 were through normal deliveries. ....
