IPOH: Within a span of 48 hours, police arrested 364 individuals for various drug-related offences and seized drugs worth almost RM60,000 in an integrated operation dubbed “Ops Sarang Khas Bersepadu”, carried out throughout Perak, since Monday.
State police chief Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said all the suspects, aged between 14 and 70, were arrested following a raid by the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department, in collaboration with the Perak National Anti-Drug Agency. The operation began on Monday and ended at midnight last night.
“In the operation, 16 addicts’ haunts were raided and a total of 352 men and 12 women, including three foreigners, were detained.
BUTTERWORTH: Six men aged between 30 and 45 have been arrested on suspicion of smuggling drugs into the country.
North Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Noorzainy Mohd Noor said police also seized drugs including heroin, syabu and marijuana worth RM6,387 from them.
He said the North Seberang Prai Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) arrested two men at a house in the Kepala Batas area at around 11am on Monday (March 15).
“Police found RM387 worth of heroin and syabu believed to be meant for the local market.
“Following that, a house in Permatang Tok Brain in Penaga was raided at around 11.30am and police found drugs worth RM6,000.

IT’S a shocking revelation – Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador said many times that several individuals, including those with “Tan Sri”, “Datuk Seri” and “Datuk” titles have been identified as the masterminds behind more than five drug syndicates in the country.
The Inspector General of Police said once sufficient evidence is gathered to pin these ringleaders, the police will take action.
There are many titled individuals with dubious backgrounds running around, and Malaysians have rightly questioned their credentials for Datuk and Datuk Seri titles.
However, there aren’t many Tan Sri, although more are surfacing in recent years.
Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department director, Datuk Razarudin Husain, took it a step further by revealing these people were not politicians but businessmen.

IPOH: Several individuals, including those with “Tan Sri”, “Datuk Seri” and “Datuk” titles have been identified as being the masterminds of more than five drug syndicates in the country, said Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador.
He said the police are actively gathering evidence that can implicate them and the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department has made seizures of up to billons of ringgit involving the syndicates.
“Every week would record (police’s success in busting) one or two syndicates nationwide. It is learnt that there are more than five drug syndicates that are masterminded by these VIPs.
