Jewish Currents’s position is that the Jewish left could be more selective in which tropes we push back on, or that our efforts shouldn’t be limited to debating tropes and defining antisemitism, I’d wholeheartedly agree. But your responsa makes broader, shakier arguments: using viral tweets as a stand-in for “the left” writ large, implying that confronting antisemitic tropes is rooted in a desire to claim “victimhood,” and acting as if Bend the Arc’s list of antisemitic incidents represents the entirety of the left’s strategy to combat antisemitism.  ....

US anti-abortion groups shift focus to voting restrictions


“I am not ready to say that everything that President Trump threw out there after the election was accurate, but it did motivate people who frankly have been hard to motivate in years past,” said Ken Cuccinelli, a former top official at the Department of Homeland Security for the Trump administration who has been tapped to lead the effort. “That’s my own experience, on this issue,” he added.
Members of the organization “demanded” it engage on election issues “as a pre-condition to be able to make the pro-life case” of further restricting abortions rights, Cuccinelli said in an interview. ....

Former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, considered Trump’s most powerful opponent in the media-proclaimed “Republican Civil War,” had surrendered without a fight. On Feb. 13 he had told the country, “Trump’s actions that preceded the [Jan. 6] riot were a disgraceful dereliction of duty.” Four days later he said on FOX News that he would “absolutely” support Trump for President if he was the 2024 GOP nominee. ....
