LEICESTER The pilot of a plane that crashed in a field on Moose Hill Road Tuesday afternoon injuring three people who were on board told the radio tower at Worcester Regional Airport: We ve got a problem here, Worcester.
In radio transmissions from a short time before the crash, that comment is followed by an unintelligible comment from the tower and the pilot replies, We ve got a lot of ice.
Aviation investigators Wednesday were taking a close look at the plane that crash landed in a field about 5 p.m. Tuesday. The plane was heading from Martha s Vineyard Airport, where it had made a quick turn around to Worcester Regional Airport when it crashed. ....

A small plane crashed near Moose Hill Road in Leicester Tuesday evening.
Bryce Giggey had just gotten home from work when a small plane crashed near his home in Leicester Tuesday evening.
Giggey said his 16-year-old son Mitchel saw the plane in the setting sky just before it crashed.
âMy son saw the plane â¦ and all of a sudden it disappeared,â Giggey, 55, said Wednesday. âHe saw it go over the hill and then heard some sort of a bang.â ....
