Published December 28, 2020, 8:00 PM The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) is set to implement shortened service hours for the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) on New Year’s Eve. The LRMC, the private operator of the LRT-1, announced that the rail line’s operating schedule on December 31 will be from 4:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both bounds. December 31 was declared as a special non-working day by the government under Proclamation No. 845. Meanwhile, the LRT-1 will continue to serve passengers on December 30 (Rizal Day) and January 1 (New Year’s Day) following the regular weekends or holiday schedule. The LRMC also announced that the line’s Roosevelt Station will remain temporarily closed “until further notice” to accommodate the still ongoing construction of the Common Station or the Unified Grand Central Station (UGCS), which will connect the systems of LRT-1, MRT-3, and MRT-7. ....
