Police are investigating an incident of vigilantism after a house and a car were set alight in Tshakhuma, Limpopo.
Angry residents of Dzananwa village allegedly torched the house and car of a 47-year-old man after accusing him of murder. [The community] accused him of being responsible for the murder of a 48-year-old man who was reported missing last month and whose decomposed body was found next to a Ntabeni plantation on Wednesday, police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said.

Public Order Police Unit officers were deployed to the entrance of the university on Thursday morning, following complaints that students were protesting and blocking the road. On their arrival, police assessed the situation, where a group of about 50 students were blocking the crossing at the main entrance in Nelson Mandela Road, police spokesperson Brigadier Motantsi Makhele said. They were accordingly warned and given time to clear the road.
