On Faith & Family: For the love of of potatoes!

Love is one of the most overused words in the English language. For instance, I love my husband, but I also love me a good ole Taco Bell Crunch Wrap Supreme. Just in case there is any confusion, my husband for sure wins! Ha! Do you ever catch yourself doing that? Using words with such strong meanings to describe ordinary everyday things? I am so guilty of that.
So a few months ago my three-year-old son Grant was given his first-ever Mr. Potato Head. For lack of a better word, HE LOVED IT! Grant carried it around the house, insisted on squishing the teeny tiny glasses on his face before we went anywhere and also managed to balance old Spud’s top hat on his own head during almost every activity. But most of all…most of all, Grant LOVED the mustache. When he wasn’t cramming it in poor Mr. Potato Heads armpit, he was plastering it on his face like a lovely unibrow or better yet, scrunching up his nose and lips to wear his very own mustache while he made funny faces at hi ....

Before Vy and I bid adieu to my sister, the three of us I walked to a local sandwich shop called Mike & Patty’s for breakfast. En route we were treated to an unexpected sight – a gorgeous street-parked Bugeye.
I let the girls go ahead so I could stare at this for a while. What a beauty!
We got back on the road, but our first stop was close by. Welcome to “The Tiny Museum,” which claims to be the world’s smallest of its kind. Unfortunately, it had been tagged and was temporarily closed. If you look closely, you’ll see that it actually says “Μμseum”, as in the greek letter Mu for micro. ....

Parents with children of different ages came to the parking lot at Baby Hueyâs late afternoon on Dec. 29 to meet the red-suited, do-good guy, whoâd hear their Christmas wishes and give them a toy.
For the last few weeks, Michael Hayden has donned Santa attire and given away lots of toys. Heâs mostly been at Sawyerâs Car Wash on Bell Street, but heâs also visited several homes and Cubbyâs at Bennington.
Gifts have included numerous Night Light teddy bears. Heâs passed out dolls, Buzz Lightyears, Mr. Potato Heads, Play-Doh sets and little cars. ....
