Artifice Ales & Mead, a gastropub and brewery, opened in Manheim at the REO Manheim Marketplace. It s managed by Willie Wrede, who is the mead maker and brewer for Meduseld Meadery in downtown Lancaster. The 4,630-square-foot warehouse area was urned into a taproom area for 60 to 70 patrons. ....

Oola Bowls opens cafe in Manheim Township with expanded menu, drive-thru


Oola Bowls has opened a new café Manheim Township, where it is adding new menu items.
The Oola Bowls café is situated in the Foxshire Plaza shopping center at 1963 Fruitville Pike, across the street from its former spot in Lancaster Marketplace, where it closed last week as the vendor marketplace was closing.
The 2,000-square-foot café features a drive-thru window, seating for around 15 and offers online ordering and has some grab-to-go items.

Domino’s has opened near Mount Joy in the Donegal Square shopping center. The carryout and delivery pizza restaurant takes a 2,000-square-foot space at 2101A Strickler Road, opposite Hamilton Inn & Suites in the shopping center near routes 283 and 230.

El Cubano, who have a Cuban food restaurant in Lancaster Township and a stand in Lancaster Central Market, opened another restaurant in February in downtown Lancaster. The new El Cubano occupies a spot at 60 N. Queen St. ....

Oola Bowls to open cafe this spring in Manheim Township


Oola Bowls plans to open a new café in Manheim Township once its stand closes in Lancaster Marketplace.
The Oola Bowls café will be situated in the Foxshire Plaza shopping center at 1963 Fruitville Pike, across the street from its current spot in Lancaster Marketplace, where it will stay open through April.
Work is beginning next week to turn the roughly 2,000-square foot space in Foxshire Plaza into a restaurant that will have a drive-thru and a small seating area. Most recently home to a mattress store and before that a Little Caesars, the space will also have offices for the restaurant company, which is hoping to soon begin offering franchises, with the new café as the model. ....
