Two-time All-Star Kelvin Herrera is retiring from baseball, he announced Friday. The Dominican right-hander had the best years of his career with the Kansas City Royals, authoring a 2.75 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 57 saves in 138 appearances.
Herrera was an integral part of Kansas City s bullpen during back-to-back World Series appearances in 2014 and 2015.
The 31-year-old also spent one half of a season with the Washington Nationals and played the final two years of his career with the Chicago White Sox.
