Agency remains busy with noisy people, parking issues and ‘scary encounter’ with a truck
The Park City Police Department at 2:11 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28, was summoned to Snows Lane to respond to a complaint about three skiers or snowboarders who were reported to be “ducking ropes and avoiding patrollers.”
The three were seen headed in the direction of Thaynes Canyon, the police were told. The police logged the case as suspected trespassing.
The police occasionally receive complaints about skiers or snowboarders entering or exiting the mountain resorts in prohibited locations.

On Sunday, Feb. 14 at 11:45 p.m., a noisy person was reported to be in a hot tub on Norfolk Avenue. Earlier that night, at 10:13 p.m., loud people were reported in a hot tub on Park Avenue. The police logged the cases as suspected disturbing the peace.
The police at 9:18 p.m. received a complaint about vehicles left outside the Main Street post office, on the side of the building, for hours. The person who contacted the police apparently said drivers use the location for personal parking, taking spots needed by people headed into the post office. ....

Summit County is weighing Kimball Junction traffic solutions

Traffic begins to back up on S.R. 224 near Kimball Junction during the afternoon rush hour on Wednesday. The Summit County Council is working with state officials to identify solutions to the congestion problems, though work on any project still appears to be years in the future.

The most direct way to Interstate 80 from Park City is on S.R. 224, a trip that often ends in a mess of traffic and taillights at the largest commercial district in the Snyderville Basin.
The other option is U.S. 40, which is 3 1/2 miles longer, but features less traffic, fewer traffic lights and, often, fewer headaches. ....
