(WKBW) â Within minutes, Shore Acres in Bemus Point was flooded out after heavy rains hit the area Saturday. Nearby Bemus Creek overflowed, and was rushing through the small neighborhood. âIâve done most of the cleanup, which was a lot of twigs and seaweed,â said Peter Branch, who has lived on Chautauqua Lake for more than 30 years. Branch says this past weekendâs flood was one of the worst heâs seen. Now, his wooden dock is partially underwater. ....
