Two suspects believed to have killed three people over $600 last week in La Crosse County have been arrested. According to a criminal complaint filed Thursday, Nya Kou Thao, 33, Holmen, and Khamthaneth Rattanasack, 41, address unknown, carried out an execution-style shooting of Nemo Yang and Peng Lor, both 24 with ties to the La Crosse area, and Trevor Maloney, 23, with recent addresses in Cashton and Sparta. Khamthanet Rattanasack and Nya Thao Rattanasack and Thao were arrested in separate locations late Wednesday and early Thursday. They have a bond hearing in La Crosse County Circuit Court scheduled for Friday. The three victims were found July 23 at the entrance to a quarry in the town of Hamilton. La Crosse County Sheriff Jeff Wolf said during a Thursday press conference that the arrest of the two suspects was the result of excellent work of numerous investigators from multiple jurisdictions. ....

Trevor Michael Allen, 24 of Mankato, pleaded guilty Wednesday to felony theft and DWI. He was arrested June 22, 2020, following a report of a pickup truck being stolen from the Baymont Hotel in Rochester. Police say Allen was seen talking to his reflection in a gas station parking lot. When officers found him, they say Allen seemed to be under the influence of drugs and their investigation led them to find the stolen truck. ....

Abdinajib Mohamed Warsame, 35 of Rochester, is accused of wrapping his hands around a clerk’s neck at the Baymont Hotel in Rochester on March 19, then stealing the clerk’s phone. Police say Warsame asked for a room and just stared at the clerk when told there weren’t any. The clerk told officers he was attacked when he asked Warsame to leave. Warsame is charged with one felony count of simple robbery. No trial date has been set. ....
