After months of closure, the Italian design capital partially reopens the doors of some Milanese showrooms. The protagonists of the Italian design are back on stage in Milan with a hybrid events (off and online) schedule running until 23 April, 2021.
Well-known districts are participating in the event through their own design platforms, including the historic district of 5vie, the lively Isola Design District, the posh Brera District, the classic Durini District and the newest addition to the extra-fair or Fuorisalone, the Alpha District project, which will be officially presented in September. For those who are lucky enough to be free to move in Milan, a couple of events worth a safe open-air visit: the Library of Trees Park (city’s third largest public park designed by architect Mario Cucinella) now features a temporary sustainable metal and wood structure called United for Progress. After years of research into the wilderness of Swedish forests, the design duo presents a new collection developed with Moroso that replicates natural textures with furniture

Living in Sweden, Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren, of design studio Front, have an innate connection to the wilder side of nature. ‘Nature is always around the corner wherever you are in this country,’ the designers observe. ‘We have dramatic dierences between the seasons: summer is completely light and winter is dark, and that makes you conscious of how nature aects you in a very direct way.’ ....
