Is Akron's St. Patrick's Day parade canceled for 2021?

AKRON, Ohio For the second year in a row, Akron s St. Patrick s Day parade has been called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Parade Chairman Ed Morrison said Friday the cancellation out of concern for spectators and participants amid ongoing spread of the coronavirus.
Morrison said they have been working with the city of Akron in hopes of having a parade in September to celebrate the halfway point to St Patrick s Day.

The Akron St. Patrick s Day parade is always held on the Saturday before St. Patrick s Day, which would have been March 13 this year. It s the largest parade in the city of Akron with at least 120 participating units. ....
