The Bayonne St. Patrick’s Parade Committee joined Mayor James Davis and city officials at an Irish flag-raising in front of City Hall on March 10.
There will not be a St. Patrick’s Day Parade for a second year in a row, but residents can watch a video dedicated to parade honorees at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woiWneB0diM.
Blood Drive
A blood drive will be held at the Senior Community Center, 16 West 4th Street, March 18, 12:30 to 6:30 p.m.

ST. CHARLES, IL The coronavirus pandemic has forced officials to cancel the 2021 St. Patrick s Day parade in St. Charles, but a group of bagpipers is set to save the day.
The St. Charles Business Alliance is hosting its annual celebration Saturday, with bagpipers set to roam throughout the city s downtown between noon and 3 p.m., filling the air with the parade s traditional soundtrack.
The St. Patrick s Day celebration will also feature a treasure hunt, in which families can search for leprechauns in St. Charles businesses, according to a news release. Families who find the leprechauns will have a chance to win a Pot of Gold with prizes from various businesses, the release states.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Cincinnatiâs annual St. Patrickâs day parade has been canceled due to COVID-19, officials say.
The celebration was originally scheduled for March 13; Cincinnati St. Patrickâs Parade Committee Chairman Chris Schulte says, âWe will see you all again Saturday, March 12, 2022.â
Schulte says it was a difficult decision to be made for the second year in a row, but they understand the difficulties created by the pandemic.
He encourages those who want to celebrate the day to do it safely and âsupport those local restaurants & businesses who are struggling through these times.â
