Looking through my vinyl stacks, its easy to spot fine examples like the Beatles White Album, the Who s Quadrophenia, and Led Zeppelin s Physical Graffiti. The new Strippers Union double album, The Undertaking, is killer as well, and will find a hallowed place among those classic titles when my copy arrives in the mail, hopefully very soon. The SU features a couple of guys from two of Canada s best-ever bands, the Tragically Hip and the Odds. Ex-Hip guitarist Rob Baker and Odds singer-songwriter-guitarist Craig Northey are accompanied by the longtime Odds rhythm section of bassist Doug Elliott and drummer Pat Steward. ....

One of the acts he mentioned was Strippers Union, which features Craig Northey from the Odds and guitarist Rob Baker from the Tragically Hip. Verreault had heard an advance copy of the band s new double album, The Undertaking, and was mighty impressed. Craig s forwarded me a preview copy to check out, he said, and it s excellent. It s such deep and interesting songwriting; it s like the Kinks for our generation. ....
In case you’ve been sitting over there wondering whatever happened to Dan Fielding, the sex-addicted prosecutor played by John Larroquette on the 80s legal comedy Night Court, he’s on his way back to a teleprompter near you: a sequel is coming to NBC. Night Court gave us a peek at the hijinks which occured on the night shift at a Manhattan municipal court, with the late Harold T. Stone presiding over the wackiness. The sequel will see Stone’s daughter, Abby, continuing her dad’s legacy, according to Deadline. Fielding is described as a “former prosecutor”, and so what he’ll be doing this time around seems to be up in the air. Larroquette took home four consecutive Outstanding Supporting Actor ....
