The meet was done virtually. In the final round, Buffington had to answer the question, “Is the worst still to come with the latest COVID-19 surge?” “At the time, I thought the question was a little outdated,” Buffington said. “The surge we had been having was kind of coming to an end already … But I spoke about how we came to this surge and what was causing it. I also spoke on how this surge was different because of vaccination rates going up and things like that.” ....
