Date Time Motorcyclist dies after Emerald collision A man has died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car in Emerald this morning. Investigators believe the motorcyclist was travelling west on the Belgrave Gembrook Road when he collided into a vehicle turning into Olgivie Road about 9.45am. The rider, who is yet to be formally identified, sadly died at the scene. The driver of the Holden utility, a 37-year-old Narre Warren man, stopped at the scene and is currently assisting police with their enquiries. The rider, a 45-year-old man from Cockatoo, sadly died at the scene. The driver, a 37-year-old Narre Warren man, stopped at the scene and has been spoken to by police. He has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and has been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 12 March. Date Time Planning Application – Belgrave Railway Station A planning application has been submitted for a new commuter car park at Belgrave Railway Station. The application seeks to replace the existing car park located at the rear of the current bus interchange area, with a proposed three-storey car parking structure. The proposed car parking is intended for commuters and users of the Belgrave Railway Station, and will be constructed by VicTrack. The planning application includes up to 667 car parking spaces (640 for commuters, 27 for railway staff), while the current car park has 170 spaces.
