Kathleen Robb obituary Brian White My aunt, Kathleen Robb, who has died aged 97, led hospital and community nursing services in north and west Belfast with courage and tenacity during the height of Northern Ireland’s civil disturbances. She was one of the most outstanding and notable nurses that Northern Ireland has produced. Born in Belfast into a prominent Methodist family, she was the daughter of Don Robb, a linen merchant, and his wife, Jane (nee Robb). She attended Princess Gardens school, Belfast, and began her nursing training in 1941 at the Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. She completed her training at the Royal Victoria hospital, which was to become her spiritual home. ....
