Progressives see opportunity for significant change during this year’s legislative session, with Democrats in charge of both legislative bodies and the governor’s office. They expect criminal justice reform, including the repeal of Nevada’s death penalty. They want something done to rein in gun violence. They want to strengthen the ability of Nevadans to vote. They want increased efforts to protect the environment and public health. They want the mining industry to be taxed appropriately. MARIETTA Jodey L. Altier has been named to the Washington State Community College Board of Trustees.
Altier, appointed by Gov. Mike DeWine, is the president of Perry and Associates Certified Public Accountants.
“It’s an honor to accept the appointment to the Board of Trustees of Washington State Community College,” Altier said. “I’m very excited to work with Dr. Wood and the other distinguished Trustees. WSCC is a tremendous asset for our community and I want to help in any way I can to grow, enhance and leverage such an incredible organization.”
