McDougle was responsible for processing the orange launch and re-entry pressure suit assemblies worn by all NASA space shuttle astronauts, including Jemison.

FEATURE | Black History Month for the CNMI – Feb. 8 to 14

Meet the Alaska students who are earning bachelor's degrees - as teenagers

Presented by ANSEP
Like lots of kindergarteners, Debra Lane-Hayes had a big idea about what she wanted to be when she grew up: a dentist.
Now 16 years old, Lane-Hayes still has the same dream and she’s on pace to achieve it years ahead of schedule.
Not even old enough to see an R-rated movie, last spring Lane-Hayes graduated from high school with more than two years of college credits already on her transcript, at no cost to her family. She’s currently on track to graduate from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences when she’s 18 the age when most students are earning their high school diplomas. ....

Key CAP and nitrate changes highlighted at ITLUS conference

There are big changes on the way for the Common Agricultural Policy.
The Irish Tillage and Land Use Society (ITLUS) conference took place online this year due to Covid-19 restrictions. The focus of the event was the key changes in the next CAP and the new nitrates regulations.
While “nothing is agreed until everything is agreed”, we now have a good indication of some of the big changes coming in the next CAP, explained Francis Morrin of the Department of Agriculture.
Participation in these schemes is not mandatory
The Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) is changing to the Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS). The number of each farmer’s entitlements is due to remain the same, but the value of each entitlement will be adjusted to match the new funding ceiling. ....
