Austin police are asking the public for help identifying an armed man they say sexually assaulted a woman in her car Wednesday morning in Southeast Austin. The attack took place about 7 a.m. near the 8600 block of Bluff Springs Road near Perkins Drive, the Austin Police Department reported. According to police, a man driving a black, unmarked law-enforcement type vehicle with a light bar on top activated the lights behind the victim who was driving. The woman told police she thought she was being pulled over by law enforcement, so she stopped and the man pulled out a black handgun. He assaulted her in the backseat of her car. ....
ARRESTS The following people were arrested on felony charges by law enforcement agencies in Davidson County, and, unless noted otherwise, were either placed in the Davidson County Detention Center or released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Lexington District Court on the date given: Jacoreyian Dreshawn McLendon, 25, of 215 Dorothy St., High Point, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, $15,000 secured bond, March 24. Severen Trique Singleton, 21, of 1009 Garrison St., High Point, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, $15,000 secured bond March 24. Rodney Lee Trivett, 50, of 3668 Lower Lake Road, Thomasville, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, $1,000 secured bond, Feb. 24. ....

Broadway in Nyack. 2020 was the best of times and the worst of times for Skelley. “It was really hard, especially at the beginning of the pandemic,” says the 72-year-old Skelley. “I worked 14-hour days and the next morning there was a line at the door. I was just drained.” “He wasn’t having any fun,” chimes in his girlfriend Nina Cerfolio, a triathlete and New York City psychiatrist. But all things considered, 2020 was a good time to say goodbye. Skelley’s business was successful this year thanks to all the bicycle demand. So successful, in fact, that he has no more inventory to sell. “I kept getting a message that there never will be a better time than this.
